MR. MEANS was born and raised on the family farm in rural Maryland, At the age of 3, he lost two toes in a lawn mowing accident, a trauma that resulted in his unique personality and sharp sense of humour. At the age of 10, his mother bought him his first camera that sparked his obsession with image making. This led him to attend the Maryland Institute College of Art where he received a Bachelors degree in photography. From there he moved to New York.  In the past decade his work has appeared in major publications such as Interview, Spin, Details and OUT magazine. He has also done numerous ad campaigns for Nike, Rheingold Beer, MTV, VH1 and Game Show Network. Besides his commercial work, he has also exhibited photography in many gallery shows in New York and London.
