CARL JAMES FERRERO (b. 1969, Vineland, NJ) is a New York-based artist who has been exhibiting his work for the past eight years.  Ferrero’s work deals with representing the experience of desire and repression in images and words.  He has exhibited his work at Envoy Enterprises, EFA Gallery and Artists Space in New York, at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, at Platform Gallery, Seattle, and in “The Metaphysics of Youth” in Pescara, Italy.  Ferrero illustrated The Underminer by his friend and collaborator Mike Albo, his writing has appeared in Rutgers University Magazine, and his artwork appears in “Drawings On Writing,” published by J & L books.  Ferrero received his MFA from Brooklyn College/CUNY, where he studied with Vito Acconci, Elizabeth Murray and Kara Walker.
